Kenojuak Ashevak is a name synonymous with Inuit art, and her prints are the first image many think of when they think about Inuit Art. Born on the land on Southern Baffin Island in 1927, she is world renowned to this day. Her list of accomplishments and awards is far too lengthy to cite here. She died in 2013 at her Kinngait home, surrounded by family.
